[ Mariko saw Konoka's video earlier while just finishing up at work. Before heading home she figured she buy some last minute gift for her friend before heading off to her music gig.

Leaving a package at the door to Konoka's apartment, the birthday girl would find Mariko's gift smothered in bubble wrap, even if it didn't need it. With it is a handwritten note: ]

[ Konoka hadn't really done much for her birthday. Honestly, a low key mention in the morning hadn't made her expect very much.

But coming back from work, she spied a small gift on her door step! She picked it up, opened it up, and found a cute pillow! ]

Good evening, Konoka! I've a question: does your healing go beyond extravagant injury? Like, say, fatigue or the aching of excessive exercise. You know, the usual wear and tear and rigors of the flesh.

I don't yet have charms for that sort of thing, but reinvigorating is in fact, possible. A simple but not easy spell.

I should be able to do it with a calm breeze.

So I could, theoretically, never have to sleep again with such a cantrip?

[he sounds giddy at the prospect]

If people had infinite magical energy, no one would.

But that's not the case. Like I said, I need a breeze to cast it.

I think the spell also uses a certain flower, but any fragrant flower should do the trick.

So I'd have to take you to somewhere where the winds lilt up, eh? Better keep track of meteorlogy.

Do you have a lot of spells like that? Requiring natural conditions and diverse bric-a-brac to function? It might be wise to send me a list of it all. Just in case.

Though I can tell you a lot of that is going to be how you use charms rather than me... for things that you'd care to use anyway.

[Uh oh, that sounds suspiciously like doing magic]

Hmm? How do you mean?

Escape magic charms, for instance, depends on the environment and the user's magical strength and imagination. Can't exactly start setting up a fireball turret next to a waterfall, as an example.

[Ted can almost make sense of that.]

...aheh, is there perhaps a book on all this? A user's manual, perhaps? Not that I don't enjoy picking your brain over arcane errata, but I imagine it's very taxing on your part.

I wish it came with one. I'm better at healing magic than most everything else and that was only after three years of study.

...huh! I assume you studied with the aid of the written word. But you can't reproduce it?

Oh, I can definitely write down what I *do* know, but it'll take a while to sum it up. I can get back to you when I have the answers, alright?

[While this was a holiday she hadn't really done anything with until a year ago, Kaguya still found herself in the Christmas spirit. More or less. One of her stops was Konoka, of course. An amusing girl who reminded her of well...herself. Slightly.

Decked out in a red and green kimono reminiscent of the holiday and a parasol to match to keep any falling snow off of her, she knocked on the younger girl's door with a large bag hanging from her shoulder.]

[ The doorbell caught Konoka by surprise. Who was actually visiting this Christmas? She hadn't been expecting company...

But when she opened the door, she easily recognized Kaguya... especially now that her hair wasn't done up. It was like looking into a mirror, in a way (if the mirror was taller than you). ]

Oh, Kaguya-han!

[Things that are expected tend to be boring, at least in Kaguya's experience. She prefers things to be spontaneous. When Konoka answers the door though, she smiles, offering a little wave. Well. As much as she can considering her hands are pretty much full.]

[She holds out the bag.]

Here. I brought some gifts for you and Setsuna.

[...and is there something moving in that bag?]

[ Konoka accepts the gifts. ]

I hope you received your card in the mail? Now I feel bad that I only sent that. If you like, I could make you an ofuda…

[ Wait, is that bag moving…? Konoka peers in it to check it out. ]

[She nods at the question as Konoka takes the bag from her.]

Indeed. Thank you! Please, nothing else is required.

[Inside the bag is a baby bunny which Kaguya has decided to dress up for the holiday as well, a bottle of fairly expensive-looking sake, and a...stick with something in a smaller bag at the end!]

[ The bunny peeks out at her! ]

Oh my goodness, it's so cute!

[ Konoka snuggles the bunny for a moment. ]

Um, do I need to put him in a cage or something, or keep certain things away?

[ She then notices the stick and the bag at the end. She sees the message at the end of it. ]

Wonder what's this...?

[Kaguya's not going to mention she has an overabundance of cute little bunnies.]

No, he should be alright. You may want to pick up some food for him, but there's a little in the bag, too.

[At the question of the last gift, she smirks.]

Something I thought you might have a little fun with.

Is that so?

[ Konoka knows that mischievous look. It's one she shares after a moment, despite not knowing the exact contents of the bag. She opts not to open it just yet, and instead give her a smile. ]

Thank you. We should chat again at some point.

Indeed. Use it wisely. Or not.

[The immortal woman shrugs. That's up to Konoka.]

[ She picks up the gift, and brings it inside.

When she inevitably opens it the next day, she breathed her thanks faintly. ]
