[ She gives an amused little sigh. ]

This is nothing new, Konoka. Do you still value a notion of your purity so?

[ Konoka's starting to feel flustered now because she shouldn't be. What kind of crazy paradox is this?! ]

Maybe just the notion that I'm a big pervert... It's not like I'm like that all the time, you know?

Having a strong libido doesn't make you a pervert, Konoka. If you couldn't control yourself you'd be a pervert. Or if you enjoyed things like being used as a toy by an evil vampire dragon.

[ Konoka at first seemed slightly relieved that Eva didn't seem to hold anything against her.

[ Well, they are a coworker and they did bond over having the same interests... now that she's reflecting on this, Konoka is recovering. Somewhat. ]

Soundwave-han and I have the same interests, but both of us have way more libido here than we did at our respective homes, so there's a lot of teasing between us...

[ She had a new respect for Chachamaru. ]

[ Eva, though, was still wearing a grin that suggested that respect for Chachamaru wasn't going to end this string of teasing. ]

She was always a good girl when I was restoring her mana. Very... tranquil. She knew how to enjoy something without making a fuss.

[ There's a glint in her eyes that say she's daring, just daring, Konoka to try to claim she could do the same. ]

I'm very capable of doing something like that!

[ Naturally, Konoka doesn't have the WIS stat to not fall for a ploy like that. ]

[ Which was... perhaps a bit daring of her to say, since really she seemed to be the one who most of all needed the games, the performance of it all, to be comfortable with intimacy. ]

[ Now that... that actually gave Konoka pause. Something about the way Eva phrased that word made her think that this was more than the kink games. But without the game... without the concept of submission.

The gears turned in Konoka's head. ]

[ Ugh. How was it that Konoka could be so dense sometimes and others she just cut right down to the heart of the matter, more directly than Eva's conception had allowed in the first place?

But as it had to be, she turned around and did her one better. ]

I don't mean a date. Or not one you have to call that. Just time spent together.

[ Konoka still looked thoughtful, albeit in a way where her gaze was focused on Eva instead of inwards. But much like Eva thought, Konoka's propensity for denseness and insightfulness existed on the same person. And at the moment, something was still spinning in her head. ]

So uh, what kind of time spent together?

It doesn't matter so much. Just to sit together or lie together or something along those lines.

[ There’s something about this. If Eva says if there’s no rules, that she just wants to be with her, then… that’s going out, isn’t it? Being an item? Konoka’s not sure she fully gets it, but she’s too curious about this rabbit hole to scare away the rabbit. ]

[ Same as it always is with Eva, she doesn't think of it that way. But, well, she'd been talking about Chachamaru for a reason; what it meant to her was that she felt comfortable thinking of Konoka as a part of her life.

But she does sense that Konoka is still feeling out the idea, and isn't sure if it's hesitation or not. ]

[ Konoka hadn't done much introspection on what she wanted out of this, and now she kinda had to. ]

I can't say I expected it entirely, but as I think about it, it makes sense.

We're close in a way no one else here can replicate. And despite how I might have thought of you before, or since... [ given what she'd seen of Eva's past, part of it which had been a glimpse into her future, ] we have gotten closer right?

Let's be even closer, Eva-chan.

Closer... we're comfortable. I'm not... there are parts of me you can't approach, Konoka. Any more than you could walk to Mars.

But... all of you showed me how to live in your world, if only a little. That's a part of me that you're already close to. We can... learn again, to live together.

[ Konoka stood up to Eva, walked close, and gave her a hug. They were already kinda doing that, but at least now, Eva was telling her, in her own little way, that maybe they should join their hearts a little more often, like they have their bodies. ]

Then let's live together, Eva-chan. With our hearts too.

[ Eva started, as though to rise up, but right now of all times she could, just barely, stand to let Konoka stand over her.

Her arms slowly circled Konoka's waist, though she grimaced slightly over her shoulder. ]

'Make our hearts one'? That's a little sappy for me, don't you think?

Oh come on, Eva-chan! Surely a little cheese in your life wouldn't hurt!

[ It would be terrible if Eva turned more lactose intolerant after hanging out with her.

She stayed in the embrace though, and tightened it with a squeeze for a moment. ]
